Trauma Hand Surgery

Hand trauma encompasses a wide range of injuries from minor to more severe requiring extensive reconstruction of the hand and upper arm. The most common hand trauma conditions include the following:

  • Hand pain
  • Fractures of the fingers, hand and wrist
  • Tendon and ligament injuries
  • Nerve and vessel injuries
  • Simple and complex lacerations
  • Crush injuries
  • Joint damage
  • Burn reconstruction

Most hand trauma patients that require surgery will need several weeks of immobilization with splints and/or casts followed by rehabilitation.
